Interim Assistant Principal - Middle SchoolPutnam Valley Central School DistrictThe Putnam Valley Central School District has an immediate need for an interim middle school assistant principal effective September 1, 2022. (Grades 5-8)Responsibilities:Participates in the supervision and evaluation of teachers, clerical staff, and other support staff. Provides leadership for faculty, curriculum development groups, grade levels, and building committees/groups as assigned by the principal.Successful experience as a middle school teacher; strong understanding of the middle school-aged child and child development; strong knowledge of current middle school curriculum; demonstrated investment in Common Core Standards Instruction; demonstrated commitment to student progress and current educational demands; solid understanding of NYS Math and ELA testing requirements; skill and experience with discipline at the middle school level; excellent communication skills with students, staff, and parents; innovative leadership experience in the area of professional development; excellent interpersonal skills; understanding of effective use of data and technology to improve instruction; and strong organizational skills.New York State Certification as a School Administrator or School District Administrator.
