Art Teacher (Anticipated Position, Probationary Appointment - 2026-2027 School Year) The Putnam Valley Central School District has an anticipated probationary teacher vacancy to provide art instruction to students in grades K through 4. Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality art instruction to students in grades K-4, that are aligned with New York State Learning Standards. Candidates must possess effective classroom management techniques, strong instructional skills, effective teaching strategies; and the ability to collaborate with colleagues K-4. We are seeking a candidate dedicated to cultivating an engaging, inclusive classroom community where every young artist can thrive. Qualifications: New York State Visual Arts certification K-12 required. Effective : August 31, 2026, and follows the school calendar. Salary : Salary is as per the PVFT collective bargaining agreement. The salary range is as follows: Bachelor’s Degree: minimum $61,779, midpoint $80,853, maximum $103,364; Master’s Degree: minimum $70,428, midpoint $99,753, maximum $132,484.
