Bus MonitorThe Putnam Valley Central School District has an anticipated vacancy for a bus monitor with a Monday through Friday work schedule, and the anticipated shift times being 7:15 - 9:15 AM, and 1:15 - 3:45 PM (4.5 hrs. daily).Responsibilities include: monitor and assist students while the school bus is in operation transporting students to/from school on a daily basis. May operate a lift, secure restraint devices, and wheelchair locks to load and unload student passengers with disabilities.Must be able to pass the Physical Performance Test (PPT); assist bus or van drivers in the event of emergencies; experience with usage of restraint devices helpful; and experience working with students with disabilities is desirable. Perform a variety of related activities as needed. High school diploma is desirable. CSEA collective bargaining negotiated salary range is $16.52 -- $25.85 per hour.This position is eligible for sick and personal leave; health/dental insurance; eligibility to join the New York State Employee’s Retirement System; and follows the school calendar.Apply today!
