Math Teacher - Schreiber High School - Probationary Position Qualifications: NYS certification in mathematics 7-12 Strong knowledge of NYS Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while contributing positively to collective goals Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with students, parents, guardians, and colleagues Commitment to equity and inclusivity in education Design lessons with differentiation for all learners, high student engagement, meaningful group work, and rich mathematical discourse Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching mathematics at the high school level (Algebra 1) Experience in a co-teaching/ICT class model Experience integrating technology into classroom instruction Responsibilities: Deliver engaging, differentiated math lessons aligned with the NYS Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards that leverage collaborative group work to drive rich student discourse and access for all learning levels. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance vertical and horizontal alignment. Communicate effectively with students, parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student progress and expectations.
