Science Department Chairperson - High School Start Date: 8/31/26 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Administrative (SAS, SBL, SDL or SDA) certification NYS Science certification, dual certification in multiple science disciplines including biology preferred A commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment In-depth knowledge of NYS Science Learning Standards and data-informed approach to tailor instruction for enhancing student outcomes Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Instructional Leadership: Teach two science classes, bringing passion, expertise, and innovative teaching strategies to the classroom Department Oversight: Conduct regular observations of department faculty, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance instructional effectiveness .
