The Following position is Probationary: High School Science TeacherResponsibilities:Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to NGSS and align with the Earth Science curriculum.Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum coherence and interdisciplinary connections.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and expectations.Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and NGSS updates.Qualifications:-NY State certification in Earth Science (Biology dual certification preferred).-Strong knowledge of Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and experience implementing them in instruction.-Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing positively to collective goals.-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with students, parents, and colleagues. Preferred Qualifications:Experience teaching Earth Science at the high school level.Familiarity with inquiry-based learning and hands-on laboratory experiences.Experience integrating technology into classroom instruction.Commitment to equity and inclusivity in education.
