This individual will play a crucial role in shaping the academic and social-emotional landscape of our students' educational journey.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Possession of NYS Administrative (SAS, SBL, or SDA) certificationProven experience in student supervision that prioritizes a student-centered approachCommitment to instructional leadership that is grounded in empathy, innovation, and effective communicationStrong belief in and practical experience with restorative practices, aiming to build a community of respect, responsibility, and relational trustPassion for leading staff development to support executive functioning and cross-cutting skillsUnderstanding of current trends and effective pedagogies in secondary educationPREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:3+ years of successful administrative and/or teaching experienceparticularly using the Danielson Framework for Teaching as a tool for promoting reflective practice and professional growthIn-depth knowledge of NYS learning standards and assessments, coupled with a data-informed approach to tailor instruction for enhancing student outcomes.Bilingual, Spanish preferredExperience in managing ENL programs, underscoring our commitment to a diverse and inclusive educational environmentRESPONSIBILITIES:Engage in strategic planning and decision-making processes that prioritize the advancement and innovation of our educational programs.Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive professional growth initiatives for all staff, promoting a culture of lifelong learning and collaboration.Ensure the safety and well-being of our school community through the execution of safety protocols and emergency preparedness drills.Collaborate effectively with the administrative team and professional learning community, embodying a spirit of teamwork and shared purpose.Oversee the academic and behavioral development of the Class of 2028, serving as a key liaison for students, families, and instructional support teams.Act as a liaison between department chairs and the broader administrative structure, ensuring alignment and coherence in our educational objectives.
