Pocantico Hills Central School District, which encompasses parts of the towns of Mount Pleasant and Greenburgh, is a close-knit and culturally diverse community full of rich traditions. A uniquely wonderful place to live and learn, the grounds are adjacent to Rockefeller State Park Preserve with ready access to both the cultural resources of Westchester County and New York City. The tiny Pocantico Hills School, established in 1932, serves approximately 320 students across eleven grade levels, from Junior PreK (3s) through 8 th Grade. Upon graduation, students can attend one of three outstanding partner high schools – Pleasantville, Briarcliff, and Sleepy Hollow (Tarrytown). SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS The Pocantico Hills Central School District is seeking substitute teachers for all levels and grades (Pre-K through 8) in the current school year, and on a continuing basis. Substitutes are paid for days worked in the district. Candidates possessing NYS Certification or a bachelor’s degree are encouraged to apply. We are seeking applicants who are available and have the desire to work every day to fill day-to-day absences. Rate of pay ranges from $145-$170/day (depending on certification).
