Camp Poco is hiring for Summer 2024! The staff schedule includes six weeks of camp which runs from July 1st to August 9th plus mandatory Staff Orientation (Saturday, June 29, 2024 8:30 am-3:30 pm) and Training Sessions. Updated references are required as part of the application process. Staffing will be based on enrollment and will occur on a rolling basis during the spring. Program Specialist: Responsible for designing and implementing an innovative program in a specific area (athletics, arts, music & movement, cooking, nature etc.); supervises counselors within their area. Each specialist will be responsible for organizing and executing one larger camp event (such as Color War, Camp Fair, Camp Variety Show, etc.) College degree and teacher certification preferred. Prior Summer Camp experience a plus! $5,253 stipendDivision Head: Responsible for supervising staff and leading the Primary, Intermediate or Middle School Division. Division head will also serve as the trip leader for all off site trips. College degree and teacher certification preferred. $4,202 (+ $500 for certified TA or teacher) stipendHead Counselor: Responsible for supervising and leading a group of age-specific campers; works in collaboration with counselors, junior counselors and/or CITs. Head counselors are also required to attend and supervise camp out overnights. College degree and teacher certification preferred. $3,677 (+ $500 for certified TA or teacher) stipend Counselor: Work in collaboration with the head counselors to provide supervision of campers in age-specific groups. High school diploma and some college preferred. $2,364 (+ $500 for returning counselors) stipend Junior Counselor: Provide additional supervision to campers in age-specific groupings. Must be 16 years old and have working papers. $2,101 stipend Counselors in Training (CIT): Assists head counselors, counselors, and junior counselors in supervising younger campers.
