ANTICIPATED OPENING 2026-2027 Special Education Teacher-ABA-Leave Replacement Dates: 8/31/2026 until December 2026 Job Description: The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teacher for an elementary ABA special class leave replacement position. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practices, experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and families. Qualifications: - Valid NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2 and Grades 1-6 required. - Experience working in an elementary special education setting preferred. - Experience working with students using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies preferred. - Strong understanding of differentiated instruction, behavior supports, and evidence-based practices. - Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). - Ability to collaborate effectively with related service providers, administrators, teachers, and families. - Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: - Provide specialized instruction to elementary students in an ABA-based special class setting. - Develop and implement individualized student goals and behavioral supports. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support student progress. - Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring data. - Foster a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment for students.
