ANTICIPATED OPENING Assistant Director of Pupil Personnel Services, Grades 5-8 Qualifications: - New York State School District Administrator (SDA), School Building Leader (SBL), or School District Leader (SDL) certification. - New York State Special Education teaching certification. - Minimum of five (5) years teaching and/or administrative experience in special education. - Knowledge and ability to apply in a school setting Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504, Committee on Special Education (CSE) processes, and New York State special education Part 200 regulations. - Experience with MTSS, special education programming, including instructional, mental health and behavioral support. - A strong background in curriculum development, instructional practices, student assessment, MTSS and progress monitoring. - Experience chairing CSE meetings and collaborating with parents, staff, and outside agencies. - Strong working knowledge of special education compliance, documentation, and due process procedures. - An ability to lead staff development, observe and supervise personnel, and promote inclusive educational practices. - Ability to analyze student data and support the development of educational programs and interventions.
