ANTICIPATED OPENING - AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL) TEACHER PART-TIME (.6) 2026-2027 The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time ASL Teacher to join the World Language team. We are looking for an educator who is enthusiastic about working with middle and high school learners and committed to fostering a love of language and culture. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging ASL lessons aligned with the NYS World Language standards. - Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and confidence. - Collaborate with colleagues within the World Language department and across disciplines. - Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support growth. - Participate in school and department meetings and professional development. Qualifications: - Valid New York State teaching certification in ASL required. - Motivated and passionate about teaching mathematics. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Commitment to reflective teaching and ongoing professional growth.
