ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL (LEAVE REPLACEMENT FALL 2025)The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking an experienced and dedicated educational leader to serve as Elementary Principal Leave Replacement for the Fall in the 2025-2026 school year. This is a temporary, full-time administrative position with a focus on instructional leadership, student achievement, and school community engagement. Our lementary schools emphasize rigorous academics, social-emotional learning, and strong home-school partnerships.Position Overview:The Elementary Principal-Leave Replacement will lead a vibrant elementary school community, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and academically rich environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of curriculum and instruction, a commitment to collaborative leadership, and the ability to foster a positive school culture. This position reports directly to the Superintendent of Schools and works closely with district leadership to ensure alignment with district-wide priorities and goals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Leading instructional programs and supporting staff in delivering high-quality teaching and learning. - Supervising and evaluating faculty and staff to promote professional growth.- Managing day-to-day school operations including scheduling, budgeting, and safety procedures.- Supporting students' academic and social-emotional development.- Engaging families and the broader school community in meaningful partnerships.- Ensuring compliance with district policies and New York State education regulations.- Collaborating with district leadership to advance school and district goals.Qualifications:- New York State Certification as School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Administrator (SDA).- At least five years of teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level.- Prior administrative or leadership experience strongly preferred.- Proven ability to lead with integrity, empathy, and a student-first mindset.- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Start Date: October 1, 2025Deadline: Monday, May 19, 2025Cover letters must be to the attention of Christopher Donarummo, Assistant Supertendent for Human Resources and Safety
