Title: Summer Bus Attendants Part-Time - (8 positions available)Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday - Friday)July 2, 2025 - August 12, 2025*Minimum of 4 hours a day between 7:00am-4:00pm. Hours will vary depending on bus assignment.Location: DistrictSalary: $23.33 per hour for newly hired aides / $25.21 per hour for permanent aidesQualifications/Certification: Must meet Civil Service requirements for title, in addition to NYSED requirements which includes: (a) a physical performance test, (b) 2 days of 3-hour pre-service instruction & 5 days of 3-hour Basic Course training within your first year of employment, (c) 2 hours of refresher training 2x per year (d) POBCSD requires all bus attendants to be trained annually on epi-pen administering. Must be fingerprinted and approved to work for the School District by Nassau County Civil Service and must be cleared through the New York State Education Department.Cost to be fingerprinted - NYS Education Department $102 plus Nassau County Police Fingerprinting $75 + $20.Starting Date: Pending Board of Education approvalCover letters and resumes must be to the attention of Mr. Christopher Donarummo.
