ANTICIPATED OPENING 2024-2025Social Studies Teacher – Full TimeThe Plainview-Old Bethpage CSD Social Studies Department is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative individual to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students while fostering a positive and culturally responsive learning environment. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the New York State Social Studies Framework- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning for a diverse group of students- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and shared best practices- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleaguesKey Qualifications: - Previous experience teaching Advanced Placement courses is preferred- Motivated and passionate about teaching social studies and civics- Strong understanding of curriculum and instructional strategiesLocation: POB JFK High SchoolRequirements: - Must have a current and active NYS Department of Education Certificate in Social Studies 7-12 - Demonstrated facility with various educational technologySalary: As per contractDeadline: Friday, July 5, 2024
