ANTICIPATED OPENING 2024-2025MATHEMATICS TEACHER-LEAVE REPLACEMENT (AUGUST 28, 2024 UNTIL FEBRUARY 3, 2025)The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District Mathematics Department is seeking a highly dedicated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Secondary Mathematics Teacher. This is a leave replacement position that will run from August 28, 2024 until February 3, 2025 and you will have the pportunity to inspire and engage students while fostering a positive and culturally responsive learning environment.Responsibilities: - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the New York State Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning for a diverse group of students- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and shared best practices- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues- Motivated and passionate about teaching mathematics- Previous experience teaching secondary math is preferred- Strong understanding of secondary curriculum and instructional strategiesRequirements: - Must have approved NYS DOE Certification in Mathematics 7-12- Excellent communication and organizational skillsLocation: POB JFK High SchoolEffective Date: August 28, 2024Salary: As per contractDeadline to Apply: Friday, June 21, 2024
