ANTICIPATED OPENING 2024-2025Mathematics Teacher – Leave Replacement (Full Year)The Plainview-Old Bethpage CSD Mathematics Department is seeking a highly dedicated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Secondary Mathematics Leave Replacement Teacher. This positiom is a full year assignment to cover a leave of absence and you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students while fostering a positive and culturally responsive leaning environment. . Responsibilities: - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the New York State Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning for a diverse group of students- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and shared best practices- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleaguesKey Qualifications: - Motivated and passionate about teaching Mathematics- Previous experience teaching secondary math is preferred- Strong understanding of secondary curriculum and instructional strategiesRequirements: - Must have a current and active NYS Department of Education Certificate in Mathematics 7-12- Excellent communication and organizational skills
