The Social Emotional Learning Specialist takes a pivotal role in designing and delivering comprehensive professional development activities for adult learners and has the following responsibilities:Demonstrate proficiency in evidence-based instructional materials, practices, and resources designed for teaching and assessing social, emotional, and executive functioning skills;Advocate for the integration of social-emotional learning, equity, and cultural responsiveness;Provide customized professional learning and training sessions for social- emotional learning curriculum and evidence-based practices within the Multi- Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) at all levels;Establish collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders and subject matter experts to provide high-quality, coordinated services;Offer technical assistance, share best practices, and undertake other duties as needed.Qualifications: MUST have a valid NYS Department of Education Certification in school psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Characteristics Desired:Exceptional interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills.Preferred experience in planning and delivering effective professional learning.Demonstrated ability to work independently and a commitment to follow-through
