Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates the need for a full-time School Counselor for the 2022-2023 School Year. Candidate must work closely with home school counselors to ensure student success both academically and personally. Candidate must offer support and serve as a resource to students, parents and home districts. Candidate must provide students with as many post-secondary opportunities as possible by arranging college admissions workshops, visits by college reps, financial aid seminars, etc.Qualifications: Must be properly certified by the New York State Education Department to work as a School Counselor.Characteristics Desired: Ability to work with students and staff in a CTE setting. Strong background and prior work experience in a high school setting preferred. Successful candidate must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the PNW BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
