The Pleasantville UFSD is seeking a Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment for a full-time position in our district. The Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment plays a critical leadership role in advancing the district’s instructional vision by overseeing the development, alignment, and continuous improvement of curriculum and assessment practices across all content areas. Reporting to the Superintendent, this leader collaborates closely with building administrators, the Director of Technology and the Assistant Superintendent for Student Support Services and Human Resources to ensure inclusive, rigorous, and standards-aligned programming that promotes student achievement, instructional excellence, and community engagement. The Director must demonstrate a deep knowledge of New York State learning standards, effective instructional practices, and assessment strategies, as well as proficiency in data analysis to drive evidence-based decision-making. Additional responsibilities include supporting professional learning systems and leading the implementation of district-wide instructional initiatives. This role requires strong project management, collaboration, and communication skills, as well as the ability to lead through change and contribute to strategic planning efforts under the direction of the Superintendent. Candidates must hold or be eligible for the New York State School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader certification.
