POSITION TITLE: Career and Technical Education (CTE)BUILDING: TBDCERTIFICATION: NYS Certification: Childhood EducationGRADE LEVEL and/or SUBJECT: 7-12Position Overview: PCSD is seeking a dedicated and certified high school teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a New York State certification issued by the New York State Education Department’s Office of Teaching Initiatives and will be passionate about teaching academic and/or technical subjects.Qualifications:New York State Teacher CertificationStrong knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following academic subjects: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Economics, and Participation in Government.Proficiency in one or more of the following technical subjects as defined in Section 100.1(l) of Commissioner’s Regulations: Agricultural Education, Business and Marketing Education, Family and Consumer Sciences Education, Health Sciences Education, Technology Education, and Trade/Technical Education.Responsibilities:Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet state standards and curriculum guidelines.Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support.Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success.Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.SALARY: Plattsburgh Teacher Contract START DATE: September 1, 2025Apply through OLAS or preferably, download application form from website (http://www.plattscsd.org/employment/), and then forward completed application form, letter of interest, résumé,copy of NYS certification, official transcripts (sealed envelope), three current letters of reference and/or placement credentials.Please submit applications ASAP to address below.
