The Pine Bush Cenatral School District anticipates an opening for full-time, 12 month Computer Teachnicain, a probationary, Civil Service competitive position.This is specialized technical work involving responsibility for the installation, maintenance and repair of computers and related peripheral equipment. Work is performed under the general supervision of a designated supervisor with leeway allowed for exercising independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work. Does related work as required.Thorough knowledge of computer hardware and software; thorough knowledge of the operation of computer systems; working knowledge of computer networking systems; ability to troubleshoot and identify specific hardware problems; ability to repair related peripheral devices such as printers, disk drives, scanners, monitors, etc.; ability to install computer software, diagnose software related problems and differentiate between a hardware and software problem; ability to communicate technical advice to users; good interpersonal skills; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
