The Pelham School District is looking for a Strength and Conditioning Supervisor -2024-2025Job DescriptionPelham UFSD is hiring a Strength & Conditioning Supervisor to design and implement a training program for our student-athletes and general education students. This individual is responsible for increasing athletic performance, reducing injury, and teaching lifelong fitness movement skills and knowledge. The Strength & Conditioning Supervisor is responsible for creating an equitable weekly training schedule for all athletic programs as well as the general student body and communicating this with administration and coaches. This candidate will design both out-of-season and in-season training for student-athletes that intelligently increases strength, cardio-vascular conditioning, neuromuscular-synchronization, and reduces the risk of injury. This individual must develop a safe environment in our training program and share safety strategies with students and staff. This individual must create a seasonal needs report on the condition of training equipment for the Director of Physical Education, Health, & Athletics. This candidate must be familiar with working with teenagers and is responsible for daily attendance and designing performance metrics to monitor programming success. The candidate will be versed in training both in a weight room, cardio center, and on-field training. A training certification by a nationally recognized organization and/or a degree in physical education (or a related field) is preferred. This individual must be certified in First Aid and CPR/AED by a NYSED-approved course. Other duties may be determined by administration as needed. SupervisorThis individual will report to the Director of Physical Education, Health, & Athletics as well as work closely with school administration and head coaches.Compensation This position is broken into 4 seasons and can have different individuals hired for different seasons.
