POSITION: Out of District Bilingual School Psychologist/Chairperson (Tenure Track Position) 2025 – 2026 School Year DESCRIPTION: Complete all Psychological Educational Social History Reevaluations for all OOD students including Psychological Evaluations, Educational Reevaluations and Social History Update ReportsDevelop FBA/BIPs and support plans and implement strategiesFacilitate Clinical Team meetings with OOD clinical staff members monthly or quarterly (as needed) to support and monitor all OOD students with SEL and behavior needsFacilitate Family Network Meetings with parents/guardians, OOD and PCSD school staff, agency providers, CPS, DSS or county staff and student if able or appropriate Conduct Risk and Threat Assessments for OOD students Conduct Needs Assessments and make referrals to mental health agencies and services or other community resources for OOD students (Andrus, WJCS, FSW, MHA, Hopes Door, Family Ties, Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health) Coordinate Services: Assist OOD families in coordinating services for OOD students (i.e. hospitalizations, outpatient services, mental health appointments) Parent Education Workshops: Provide IEP Mandated Parent Training sessions and parent education workshops for OOD Families on SEL and Mental Health topics Attend Monthly Clinical Peekskill Community Network MeetingsSupport Director with organizing all district wide SEL initiatives (i.e. Rethink Ed, Commitment 2 Character, Attendance Matters Campaign and other SEL programs) Review and analyze OOD suspension, behavior and placement data and develop support plans to reduce OOD placements and suspensions.Chair all OOD Annual Review meetings and finalize all IEPs Chair CPSE to CSE meetings and finalize IEPs Assist in chairing all other district CSE meetings when neededServe as PCSD Liaison to all out of district schoolsVisit all OOD placements and ensure that IEPs are being implemented with fidelity Assess all OOD students annually and gather data to present to the CSE to determine if a student is able to return back to district or other LRE setting. REQUIREMENTS: New York State Certification in the area of Special Education required (i.e., Special Education Teacher, School Psychologist, School Social Worker, Related Services, or School Counselor).New York State School District Leader certification preferred.Multilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
