POSITION: School Social Worker, School Counselor or School Psychologist Leave Replacement (Temporary Clinical Support)LOCATION: Woodside Elementary SchoolCERTIFICATION: New York State (NYS) valid School Social Worker, School Psychologist and/or School Counselor certification required.QUALIFICATIONS: QUALIFICATIONS:Previous experience working in elementary school settings, understanding the unique needs of students at this level;Strong ability to provide effective individual and group counseling services to students;Excellent collaboration skills to work with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students;Proficient in conducting assessments and evaluations of students' social and emotional needs;Familiarity with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process and participation in IEP meetings;Ability to handle crisis situations and provide timely support to students in need;Knowledge of and ability to collaborate with community resources for additional student support;Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Expertise including the understanding and application of SEL principles to create a positive school environment;Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate and confidential records;Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices and trends in the field.RESPONSIBLE TO: Building PrincipalSTARTING DATE: February 2024 (Anticipated)CLOSING DATE: February 3, 2024SALARY: $55,064–$99,533 – Commensurate with experience.
