POSITION: Family Resource Assistant LOCATION: Parent Resource CenterREPORTS TO: Director of Special Services QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma;Associates’ or Bachelors’ Degree preferred;Knowledge of and/or educational background in community based services and supports, human services, social work, psychology, or counseling;Ability to use technology and data systems;Multilingual applicants encouraged to apply**In accordance with the Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) legislation, Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and by the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, candidates for appointment in school districts must obtain clearance for employment from the State Education Department prior to employment based upon a fingerprint and criminal history background check.JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide support, information, and resources to families residing in temporary housing and families in need of assistance;To ensure all McKinney-Vento and Foster Care requirements are met throughout the school year, including but not limited to, arranging special transportation, organizing and distributing school readiness kits, community donations, supplies, etc.;Duties as assigned by the Parent, Family, and Community Liaison, Director of Special Services, or other Administrator. SALARY: $21.00/hour. As worked, without benefits (Independent Contract);(ARP Grant and ARP Part II McKinney-Vento Grant Funded)START DATE: August 30, 2022 (Anticipated)WORK DAY: Works eight (8) hours per day, four (4) days per week, for a maximum of twenty-eight (28) hours per week.CLOSING DATE: August 30, 2022
