Pearl River School District is seeking a professional administrative leader to serve as its next Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. The district is well known for its high academic performance and outstanding support from parents and the community. We are seeking an innovative, educational leader with a record of significant accomplishments who will work collaboratively with the administration, faculty, staff, and parents to inspire and promote academic success and achievement for every student.The Pearl River School District is located in Rockland County, NY, approximately 20 miles north of NYC. Pearl River School District serves approximately 2400 students across five schools in grades K-12.Minimum qualifications: NYS certification in administration (SDA or SDL) experience in teaching and successful administrative experience at the building and/or district level.Effective Date: July 1, 2023The successful candidate should possess:An in-depth knowledge of NYS curriculum, pedagogy, current educational trends, and NYSED regulations;Proficiency in K-12 vertical and horizontal curriculum evaluation and alignment in collaboration with teachers and administrators;A vision for program development that supports students in 21st century learning and success in college and careers;Ability to actively listen, build trust and engage administrators, teachers and parents in meaningful and productive action to improve and grow our academic program and opportunities for students;Skill at collecting and analyzing data to inform decision making;Expertise in creating professional development opportunities that support teacher growth and capacity; andExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills.PRSD is an Equal Opportunity Employer
