Pearl River School District is seeking a Database Administrator effective July 1, 2026. This positions report directly to the Director of Technology and the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. The successful candidate must be able to: Design, develops, and maintains databases and data systems to support organizational needs, including creating database structures, customizing applications, and developing complex data queries and reports, including those required for State and federal reporting. Analyze user requirements and collaborates with administrators and staff to determine data needs, recommend system improvements, and support accurate data collection, validation, and reporting processes, including alignment with State Education Department reporting requirements and timelines. Monitor and manage database performance, security, and integrity, including implementing data protection procedures, ensuring compliance with data privacy laws and regulations, conducting audits, and overseeing backup and recovery processes related to student and staff data used for required reporting. Implement and maintain data warehouse systems and oversees the integration, extraction, transformation, and analysis of data from multiple information systems to support internal decision-making and required submissions to the State Education Department. Provide training and technical support to users on database systems and software applications, including guidance on proper data entry, validation, and reporting procedures to ensure accuracy of data submitted to the State Education Department. Maintain documentation, prepares reports and diagrams related to data systems and reporting processes, supports State reporting submissions, and performs related technical and administrative functions, including staying current with emerging technologies and changes in reporting requirements.
