The Pearl River School District is seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Psychologist to join our team. This is a great opportunity to work with a strong Special Services team while supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. Qualifications: New York State certification as a School Psychologist required Preferred Experience / Skills: Previous experience as a School Psychologist and/or CSE Chairperson Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification Bilingual Extension RULER approach IEPdirect Knowledge: Current federal and NYSED regulations governing CSE, Section 504, and Part 200 regulations. Evidence-based social-emotional learning strategies to promote emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. Experience implementing evidence-based social-emotional learning strategies to promote emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: Administer and interpret psychoeducational evaluations Provide individual and group counseling for classified and non-classified school students Chair Committee on Special Education (CSE) and Section 504 meetings, in compliance with NYSED and IDEA regulations Work effectively and collaboratively with parents, teachers, students and other school district personnel; ability to multitask, adapt and manage multiple priorities Assist in the development of IEPs and progress monitoring
