Previous district-level experience required. Experience in leading a Special Services Office or Pupil Personnel Office preferred.The Pearl River School District is seeking an experienced and collaborative administrator to serve in a probationary position as a Director of Special Services. The duties of this K-12 position include, but are not limited to: serving as the compliance officer for the implementation of IEPs and section 504 accommodations, chairing CSE Meetings, supervising and evaluating clinical staff and related service providers, and the facilitation of IDEA Grants.The Pearl River School District is in Rockland County, NY, approximately 20 miles north of NYC and serves approximately 2,300 students (including out-of-district placements). The district is well known for its high academic performance and outstanding support from parents and the community. We are seeking an innovative educational leader that will work collaboratively with the administrative team, faculty, staff, students and parents to inspire and promote academic excellence and achievement for all students.
