Port Chester Schools is seeking two dedicated and qualified High School Reading Teachers to join our team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping students improve their reading skills and achieve academic success.The Reading Teachers will provide targeted pull-out services for students identified as needing Tier 2 and 3 interventions.Responsibilities:Provide targeted Tier II and/or Tier III reading instruction to students in small group and/or individual settings.Deliver reading intervention using research-based and systematic programs.Utilize various instructional strategies to improve students' reading comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary, based on data.Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans to meet diverse student needs.Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to create comprehensive learning plans.Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families and administration.Qualifications:Valid New York State Teaching Certification in ReadingExperience providing reading intervention to high school students.Knowledge of research-based reading programs and strategies.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to analyze data and adjust instruction to meet student needs.
