Anticipated Full-Time Position: 2025-2026 School YearEffective Start Date: September 1, 2025Elementary Teacher - Bilingual (Spanish)Job Summary:The Port Chester Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated and skilled educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of our student population.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement instructional materials and strategies that accommodate various learning styles and abilities.Provide individualized and group instruction to support academic progress and a smooth transition to the school environment.Establish and maintain a positive and productive classroom environment that fosters active participation and learning.Assess and monitor student academic and social development, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.Deliver instruction and design learning activities that align with school and district policies, goals, and objectives.Maintain open and consistent communication with parents/guardians through various channels.Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss student progress and provide insights into the school's educational programs and initiatives.Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to identify and address student needs, including health and learning concerns.Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment through visually appealing and functional displays and resources.Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities provided by the district and external organizations to enhance expertise and instructional practices.Participate in the district's teacher evaluation process, working cooperatively with administrators to receive constructive feedback and support professional growth.Required QualificationsCurrent New York State certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) and/or Birth-2 with a Bilingual Extension (Spanish).
