Middle School English TeacherPosition Overview:The Port Chester School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated English teacher to join our middle school team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English language arts curriculum, a commitment to student success, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.Responsibilities:Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with NYS learning standards and the school's curriculum.Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and student participation.Assess student progress through various methods, including quizzes, tests, projects, and presentations.Provide individualized support to meet the diverse learning needs of students.Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student growth and achievement.Integrate technology into instruction to enhance learning experiences.Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices.Other duties as determined by the principal.Qualifications Required:Valid NYS teaching certification in English Language Arts (Grades 5-9).
