The Port Chester-Rye U.F.S.D. has openings for their summer program:Position: Summer Program Teachers for rising 1st through 5th graders Position: Summer Multi-Language Learner Program Teachers for rising 1st through 5th graders Proposed Days of Operation: Mondays through Thursdays, July 5-July 27, 2023 (plus mandatory training and planning time during the last week of June, dates TBD) Time: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm daily (Includes office hours and planning time) Location: In district - Buildings to be determined in late spring. Duties include: Planning lessons targeted at achieving concrete student goals, using data to plan for differentiated student instruction, teaching lessons focused on ELA and math, utilizing district-adopted software programs for targeted student intervention, keeping attendance records, communicating with parents (as needed), communicating weekly with program administrators and lead teacher, and other duties that may be required per program needs. Certifications required: Birth-Grade 2 and/or Grades 1-6 certification; additional TESOL/Bilingual certification needed for MLL positions. Compensation will be paid at the contractual hourly rate.
