It is anticipated that the following full-time position is available for the 2023-2024 school year effective September 1, 2023. ENL Teacher – District The Port Chester Public Schools seek a motivated and dynamic ESL/ENL teacher who will be responsible for managing new student enrollment in the district and assisting district schools in managing the delivery of ENL services. The ENL/District Teacher will work with the Director of ELL and Bilingual Programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages the enrollment process for new students in the school district, including assessing new students as they register and assisting families in understanding bilingual program options.Provides a high-quality orientation for families of ELLs/MLLs.Assists the coordinator in supporting and monitoring all ESOL program data.Provides support, guidance, and assistance to district schools and other departments as required by the district, state reporting, and Title III. Enters all ESOL program-related data in the student information system in a timely manner. Maintains all ESOL program-related data in the student information system and in the district office.Provides support to local schools and other departments to ensure ESOL record compliance.Regularly monitors ESOL records at local schools to ensure accuracy with all local, state, and federal requirements.Provides support, guidance, and training to district and school staff on ESOL data-related topics.Performs other duties as assigned by administrators.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDThe position requires current NYS certification in the area of TESOL K-12, and at least 5+ years of teaching experience in an ENL/ESL or Bilingual setting.
