Job descriptionSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayPROVISIONAL APPOINTMENT PENDING A FUTURE CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION.The Micro Computer Tech Support Assistant at our school plays animportant role in maintaining the technology to support educational technologyneeds and specialized areas such as Chromebook management and auditoriumaudio tech support.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Tech Support:Provide comprehensive technical support for faculty, staff, and students,addressing hardware and software issues.Troubleshoot and resolve technology-related challenges in classrooms andcomputer labs.Chromebook Tech Support:Manage and maintain the fleet of Chromebooks used by students and teachers.Conduct regular inventory and troubleshooting to ensure the smooth operation ofChromebook devices.Auditorium Audio Tech Support:Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio equipment in theschool's auditorium.Coordinate with event organizers to understand and fulfill audio-visualrequirements for presentations, performances, and assemblies.Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to guarantee optimalperformance of audio systems.Training and Documentation:When necessary, develop training materials and documentation usage for techand auditorium audio equipment.Collaboration:Work closely with IT team members to integrate and maintain networkinfrastructure supporting both Chromebook deployments and audio-visualsystems.Requirements:- Proficiency in Mac OS, Windows, and Linux operating systems- Experience with desktop support and technical troubleshooting- Familiarity with LAN/WAN networks and network protocols- Knowledge of computer hardware components and peripherals- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently as well as part of a teamPrevious experience in a similar role is required.This is a competitive civil service position; initial appointment will be provisional pending a future civil service exam; once established, candidate must qualify and be reachable from the certificate of eligibles as produced by the Dutchess County Office of Human Resources in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law.We offer competitive compensation based on experience.Salary: $44,043.66 - $53,172.03 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceWork Location: In person
