RESPONSIBILITIES:Implementing NYS standards· Collaborating with colleagues on curricula and lesson plans· Developing lesson plans and curricula based on the needs of individual learners· Providing conversational opportunities where pronunciation and important words and phrases are taught· Teaching writing and composition· Preparing students for the NYSESLAT· Monitoring students’ progress by writing reports and grading assessments· Organizing feedback sessions with students and their parents if applicable· Providing suggestions for further learning and scheduling intervention sessions with struggling students· Teaching students about culture and diverse backgrounds REPORTS TO: Academic Director/Building Administration/Assistant Superintendent for Instruction SALARY: as per PMCT contract LOCATION: Patchogue-Medford High School EFFECTIVE: December 2024 EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:All costs associated with these employment requirements are the responsibility of the employee:Fingerprint clearance from the NY State Department of Education (NYSED)Drug ScreeningPhysical Examination Patchogue-Medford Schools is an equal opportunity employer.
