RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan lessons, keep records of grades, grade papers, correspond with parents, etc.Utilize various curriculum resourcesIntegrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plansUtilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students servedSupport balanced literacy classroom practicesProvide intervention which may utilize the following programs: Wilson, Just Words, LLI/Guided Reading, F & P Assessments, and small group instructionProvide reading evaluations for students who demonstrate the need for extra support servicesProvide individual remediation in reading in conjunction with IEP Reading and Language Arts goalsAssist in coordinating and administering annual achievement and diagnostic testingParticipate actively as a member of the building leadership teamsProvide consultation to classroom and support staff as neededParticipate in school district Annual Review meetingsHas the ability to interpret/utilize data to make informed instructional decisions REPORTS TO: Academic Director/Building Administration/Assistant Superintendent for Instruction SALARY: Salary range in accordance with PMCT contract LOCATION: TBD EFFECTIVE: September 1, 2023 EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:All costs associated with these employment requirements are the responsibility of the employee:Fingerprint clearance from the NY State Department of Education (NYSED)Drug ScreeningPhysical Examination Patchogue-Medford Schools is an equal opportunity employer.
