Music Leave Replacement –Middle School Orchestra and General Music The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District has an opening for a Year-Long Leave Replacement at the Middle School Level, grades 7-8.Responsibilities are as follows:Beginning Middle-Level Orchestra and lessonsGeneral MusicMiddle Level Chorus lessons Qualifications:NYS Music CertificationHighly motivated to build a new orchestra program within an established departmentStrong behavior management skillsAbility to plan student-centered General Music lessons that incorporate student performance (ie: Orff Schulwerk, World Drumming, modern band), and technologyKnowledge of violin and cello is required and the ability to play pianoAvailable to participate in extra-curricular activities in the department ie: Middle School Musical, High School Musical, NYSSMA Solo Festivals, etc. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.Appropriate training, experience and NYSED certification are required.
