Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a dedicated and qualified Temporary Teacher for the Health Careers Academy within the Career and Technical Division from September 2, 2025, to December 11, 2025. This position is responsible for delivering instruction aligned with the New York State-approved Nurse Assistant Program. The role includes teaching in classroom and clinical settings, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and facility-based requirements.Key Responsibilities:Deliver instruction in accordance with the NYS-approved Nurse Assistant curriculumProvide engaging didactic, practical, and clinical instructionSupervise students during clinical experiences at partner healthcare facilitiesMaintain compliance with all clinical facility protocols and NYSED requirementsAssess student progress and maintain accurate records of performanceSupport students in developing the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the healthcare fieldQualifications:Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) licenseMinimum two (2) years of nursing experience, with at least one (1) year in long-term careStrong communication, instructional, and organizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively with students, staff, and clinical partnersCertification Requirements:Must hold or be willing to obtain a Transitional A certificate (if not already certified)
