Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a full-time Computer Programming and Video Game Development Teacher to join the Career and Technical Division. This position will follow the school calendar and a Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. schedule. The effective start date of this position is immediate. The Computer Programming teacher would provide students with instruction in computer applications, computer languages, and video game development. The teacher would provide students with clinical and practical applications with community partners. This position would lead students to successful completion and passing the C++ or the Certified Associate Programmer Certification.Job QualificationsThe successful candidate should have knowledge and experience in computer languages, computer graphics, computer science and applications, and video game development. Interested candidates may be eligible for a Transitional A certification based on work experience (2-4 years), industry-related credentials, and the completion of additional workshops (Violence Prevention, Child Abuse, and DASA).
