QUALIFICATIONS: School Psychologist CertificationCandidates must have extensive knowledge of Federal and State regulations pertaining to Special Education and extensive knowledge of Individual Education Program development. Candidates should have experience with Frontline IEP including maintaining and accessing reports and listings. Experience in communication skills, training, and writing technical documents is preferred.DUTIES: The elementary school psychologist responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Organize, implement and oversee all Committee on Special Education processes as outlined in Commissioner’s Regulations and Federal Law for timely and exemplary implementationVerify that student responses to intervention are documented by staff prior to referral, monitor Individual Education Plan compliance, and provide the administrators with solutions to compliance deficitsPerform observations and testing as required by the Committee on Special EducationAssist the Committee on Special Education in the appropriate development and implementation of the Individual Education PlanUse data systems to update pertinent informationCommunicate with special education administrators, parents, and team members, as appropriateHold CSE meetingsSchedule meetings within compliance timelinesAny additional assigned duties deemed necessary and appropriate*This position is primarily CSE chairperson and evaluatorPer Diem rate. Bilingual preferred.
