Responsible for the supervision, performance, management and coordination of a wide variety of business duties for a school district: knowledge of business administration procedures, accounting and budgetary procedures, techniques of monitoring expenditure of funds, solving financial problems, good knowledge of debt and investment management, purchasing and inventory practices, cost analysis, interpretation of financial reports, capital projects, etc.Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Executive Director of Business and Finance establishes strategic direction and provides leadership of the financial and business operations as well as the Food Services Department and Buildings and Grounds of the Oswego City School District. Key deliverables include but are not limited to: maintaining a multi-year financial outlook creation of an annual balanced budget, providing financial reporting in accordance with state statutes, detailing the financial status of the district, and ensuring appropriate service delivery and outcomes associated with business functions including payroll, benefits, accounting, budgeting, purchasing disbursements, cash management, risk management, and financial planning, analysis and reporting.
