The Position is responsible for helping to coordinate all aspects of the modified boys wrestling program including the training and instruction of student-athletes, maintaining appropriate practice and match schedules, and conforming to all School, League policies and procedures for athletics, serving as a positive role model, communicating clearly with parents, fellow coaches, and administration.Qualifications:• New York State Certification in Physical Education OR• New York State Teacher Certification OR• Non-teacher coach with Professional Coaching License OR• Non-teacher coach with Temporary coaching License• Valid First Aid course accepted as meeting NYS Coaching requirements• Valid Adult CPR certification accepted as meeting NYS Coaching requirements• Workshop - Child Abuse Identification• Workshop - School Violence Intervention and Prevention• Workshop - Dignity For All Students Act (DASA)• Fingerprint Clearance• Valid Concussion Management Certificatehttp://www.cdc.gov/concussion/HeadsUp/online_training.html• Previous Coaching Experience (preferred)
