Job Description: CSE ChairpersonReports To: Executive Director of Special Education & Student ServicesResponsibilities:Committee on Special Education / Preschool Special EducationAct as the chairperson for CSE / CPSE meetingsUse data-based decision making to determine eligibility for servicesAs needed, conduct evaluations of students Act as a liaison for external programsSkills:Individual must be highly organizedStrong knowledge of research-based best practicesAbility to interpret and explain assessment results in a format understood by educators and parents Experience working with staff and parentsUnderstanding of school age and preschool eligibility processStrong collaboration and communication skillsStrong knowledge of regulationsRequirements:Certification as school psychologist strongly preferredCertification as a special education teacher may be consideredPrior training and experience facilitating CSE / CPSE meetingsTerms of Employment:Salary: Per OCTA contractProbationaryGrant funded position
