The Full Time 1:1 Health Aide Job Duties are:Monitors student condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, diet and exercise.Assist student in recommended program, i.e. bowel/ bladder training programHelps student care for themselves by teaching use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene.Helps classroom staff care for the student by teaching appropriate ways to lift, turn, and re-position the student; advising on nutrition, cleanliness, and housekeeping. Records student information by making entries in the student journal; notifying nursing supervisor and treatment team of changing or unusual conditions.Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy student environment by following Universal Precautions standards and procedures; maintaining security precautions; following prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards;Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.Protects the agency by adhering to professional standards, health care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.Schedule is 7:00AM-3:00PM, Monday through Friday. The qualified candidate will possess:Home Health Aide Certification or Personal Care Aide Certification required. CNA is preferred.High School DiplomaMinimum of one year’s experience working with special-needs childrenGood Oral and Written Communication skillsFamiliar with computers and electronic record-keeping Ability to adhere to our organization’s core valuesPhysical requirements:liftreachwalkclimb stairsbend
