Bus Driver-Mechanic Annual Salary: $50,000 - $60,000, commensurate with experience Distinguishing Features of the Class This is routine work involving the transportation of individuals, operating vehicles in accordance with NYS Department of Transportation regulations and appointing agency policies. Additionally, incumbents in this class are responsible for performing preventative maintenance and service of buses and other vehicles. Operates under general supervision. Qualifications a) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and either; Graduation from a vocational or technical program in automotive repair and one (1) year of experience performing automotive service or repairs, or; b) Two (2) years of experience performing automotive service or repairs. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATION: Possession of a valid NYS Commercial Driver’s License with necessary endorsements is required at time of application and must be maintained throughout the duration of employment.
