Instructional Technology Coordinator Key Responsibilities: Library Media Support: Provide individual and team-based support to the district LMS to support curriculum development and lesson planning, provide one-on-one coaching, and model if appropriate in the classroom. Professional development: Create, lead and deliver technology focused training (asynchronous and/or in-person workshops, on - demand knowledge bank) for teachers. Plan and schedule professional development sessions with educational technology companies. Instructional design: Assist teachers in aligning their technology use with curriculum, state standards, and assessment data. Assist teachers with instructional decisions on the use of technology based on best practices and the results of assessment data. Resource management: Help evaluate, select, and implement educational technology resources, including software, hardware, and online tools. Technology integration: Model and guide teachers in using technology for differentiation, student motivation, and creating rigorous, relevant learning experiences. Data analysis: Assist in assessing and tracking the technology skills of teachers and students, using the data to develop targeted professional development plans. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with building administrators, and district leaders on technology planning and implementation. Staying current: Continuously learn about new technologies, teaching strategies, and best practices to share with staff. The Instructional Technology Coordinator is not expected to install technology, troubleshoot malfunctioning technology, repair broken technology or provide any duplicate services to those already provided by Computer Services Technicians. Position Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is required. Preferred qualifications include; Teaching Experience; Library Media and/or Educational Technology implementation experience within a school district. Knowledge of NYS learning standards, experience in research-based instructional practices specifically involving technology based instructional strategies that will effectively and efficiently support learning. Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for building an environment with a common instructional focus, promoting initiatives, and conveying expectations. Ability to design and deliver high quality professional development for teachers and administrators. Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing. Demonstrated strength in organization, communication skills and efficiency in meeting deadlines. Demonstrated ability to function as a positive collaborative member of a team. Demonstrated interest and engagement in professional learning and reflection. Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in equity and culturally responsive teaching practices. This is an 11-month position following the instructional calendar (20 days in the summer) This position offers a salary range of $47,000–$60,000, with placement within the range determined by experience, education, and overall qualifications.
