Position: CSE CoordinatorJob Description: The Oneonta City School District is seeking a Committee on Special Education (CSE) Coordinator. This is a full time 11-month position salary and benefits are per working agreement. The CSE Coordinator, in collaboration with the Director of Student Support Services, is responsible for overseeing and coordinating special education programs in schools. This role involves ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, providing guidance and support to educators, and collaborating with stakeholders to promote inclusive education for students with special needs. Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of CSE process; a minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in special education or as a related services professional; NYS permanent or professional certification in one of the certification areas aforementioned. Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.Effective Date: July 1, 2024Salary: $47,137.50 * Higher salaries may be available commensurate with education and experience Interview Procedure: The interview committees will interview selected candidates and a finalist will be recommended to the Superintendent. Job duties include: Chairing CSE/CPSE meetings; Providing leadership and support for CSE processes including child find, evaluation, and eligibility determination for special education services; Collaborating with school administrators, teachers, related service professionals and caregivers to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); Coordinating training, professional development and support for school administrators, teachers, related services professionals and caregivers to promote high quality instruction, behavior management and inclusive practices; Monitor and utilize district data and conduct needs assessments to inform instructional practices and programming; Other duties as assigned.To apply, submit application on OLAS, placement file or three reference letters and official transcript must be attached.
