ANTICIPATED VACANCYPosition: Extended Day Program DirectorThe extended day program director fosters a safe and inclusive atmosphere of fun and learning where the concepts of teamwork, creativity, and youth empowerment can flourish.Effective Date: September 2024Salary Range: $30,000. - $35,000. Commensurate with education and experienceInterview Procedure: The interview committees will interview selected candidates and a finalist will be recommended to the Superintendent.Qualifications: New York State Teaching Certification Preferred experience in teaching with a minimum of (2) two years of supervisory and management experience developing and implementing youth programs Knowledge of special education and regulations regarding special education programs and services The ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with administrators, teachers, support staff and parents Supervision of multi-site coordinators: directing the development and implementation of systems, processes, procedures, and tools to support site-level operations The director will be positive, approachable, and respectful of others Listens first Maintains appropriate confidentiality Extensive knowledge of ability to perform duties in full compliance with all district, Board of Education, state and federal laws, methods, requirements, policies, procedures, and activities pertinent to the duties of this position Ability to work Independently with minimum supervision Ability to use independent judgement and demonstrates initiative to act without being asked Additional duties are performed by the individual holding this position and additional duties may be assigned Assist with budget development and updating contract/formsTo apply submit application on OLAS, placement file or three reference letters and official transcript must be attached.
